Post 4207 Overboard Vent Clogged

Hi, I'm having some issues with my fresh water system. I noticed that my overboard vent on the transom is not releasing overflow water when I overfill my fresh water tank. Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this or replace it? We have a 1986 4207 with a metal fresh water tank located under the bed in the aft cabin. Thank you!

Post Venturi Window Leaks

Does anybody have or had issues with leaking venturi windows on their boat? I have a 410 Sport Sedan and the hard plastic window leaks along the window channel between the window frame and fiberglass. I had the window removed, re-set and, seals replaced but still have the issue. New canvas so that is not the issue. The water leaks at the base of the window and I can see water drops form along the seal. It then takes a channel through the inside of the boat. Eventually the water falls into t ...

Post 1989 Carver Santego 2767 RPM Question

I have a Carver Santego 2767 with twin 4.3 Mercruisers. I am not sure if my RPM gauges are showing accurate information. I
cruise at about 28 MPH at 1900 RPM on each engine but when I read some of the other posts it seems that the RPM needs to be significantly higher for me to hit that speed. Are my gauges wrong and is it possible for both gauges to be wrong?

Post Not engaging into gear right away

I have a 1990 Carver santego with twin volvo pentas. Shifting into neutral has always been tricky. It's almost like I have to shift past neutral first before it will go into neutral but I just got used to doing that. Now a new problem that just happened, is when going into reverse it didn't engage right away until I gave it more throttle then it made a loud slam into gear. The first time I noticed something wasn't right is when I was pulling in my slip and put the port engine into reverse, in a ...

Post Carver 396 Throttle Cable Length

I have a 2000 Carver 396 / Cummins 5.9L that will need throttle cables replaced. I can’t find any markings at helm end or engine end that indicate length. Anyone have insights on the lengths of the four cables? They seem to be 10-32 ends (rather than 1/4-28). Was trying to avoid pulling one to measure before ordering replacements. Thanks in advance.

Post 1987 Carver 3697 Mariner Props

Hello! I am the new owner of a 1987 3697. I have done lots of work on the boat thus far and use it every weekend.

This sunday I hit something (probably a rock) and damaged a prop based on vibration after the hit. I will go under the boat in the next week and check the shaft, rudders, etc. and see what props are on the boat and make sure nothing else got hurt. I am interested in the stock proppeller size pitch and bore to see if I can find a spare set. What were the "stock" Props? Thanks!

Post Bilge Blowers

I have a 2000 450 Voyager and none of the blowers are working. Engines on or off, no air flow. Breakers in the salon panel all show on bilge blowers # thru 4 on and not tripped. I crawled behind the starboard fuel tank and I can see the ducts running the the engine bulkhead, but don't see anything that looks like a fan or blower motor. I do see a white, round connection, slightly larger than the duct... Is that the motor?? Thanks
