So i'm going to tighten my stuffing box for the first time and was told the starboard shaft has left handed threads? Does that sound right? So would I loosen the lock nut by going clockwise instead of counter and the adjusting nut counter clockwise? Opposite for the port side I assume. And could they put that in a harder place to adjust under the V-drive?!? Thanks.

I have Crusader 6.0 fresh water cooled engines. When I purchased the boat in 2017 I changed the risers because she was losing antifreeze.

My question for the crew: Do you schedule a change in risers as part of your maintenance schedule? If yes, how many years between changes. If no, when do you bother replacing them?

Hello everyone! I have just purchased my first Carver...a 1994 320 Voyager Flybridge...and I LOVE it! My wife and I plan to spend a good deal of time on the boat. I thought Id ask the group before crawling all over my boat tracking down hoses... Transfer Valves. ... In the aft cabin closet there are 4 transfer valves. I cannot find in the 430 owner's manual which transfer valve is for which tank and they are not labeled. They appear to be OEM.
