Post 1991 Carver 26 Command Bridge: Shower sump pump location

- Forum: General Repairs & Maintenance
Anyone have any idea where they hid the shower sump/pump for the Carver 26? It has the integral head/shower compartment and what looks like the exit thru hull just outside the shower on the starboard hull, and an electrical switch for the shower pump on the main breaker console. I have pulled up all the floorboards in the boat and have had no luck finding it. Would rather not start pouring water down the drain and listen for the pump in case it was omitted from the boat early on. BTW: I've owner ...

Hi,
I was sitting on the flying bridge when I heard water running, being on a boat that can make one nervous, I found the source of the water - it was being pumped over board like a bilge pump, however i don't beleeve I have one in that area. It has been running for about 3 minutes
The boat is a Carver 1989 38 Aft. I have the AC running in the salon. It is on the starboard side towards the bow.
Thanks for all your help

Post Solar Generator replacement for Kohler gas genny
- Posted by: GFB » October 5th, 2021, 2:44 pm
- Forum: Electrical
Hi
My Kohler gas generator (20yrs old) is probably shot. I'm thinking of replacing it next spring with a new solar generator (ie bluetti 200p or Ecoflow Delta pro) with enough power to solve my daily needs at anchor for up to 4 days max (weekend warrior only). I will need it to run my ac 16000btu, plus fridge plus lights and the odd recharging of devices such as phone and laptop on the fly, and electric head/water pump on occasional use. My only charging sources would be Solar array (approx. ...

Post Calling all Mariner 360 Owners

- Forum: Carver Yachts Forum - Model Discussion
Would like to create a new thread just for this model.
We've had a 2004 Mariner 360 for about a year now and like it for the most part. The crusader 6.0s seem great, love how it's almost all FWC. I've learned a lot about this boat over the past year so I am sure I can offer advice to any new or existing owners.
General question, though, do all these models sit bow heavy? Has anyone figured out why? We can't even completely empty our holding tank because it sits on a slight angle.
And has anyone ...

Post Install New Jabsco Head
- Posted by: nootcheez » October 4th, 2021, 3:02 pm
- Forum: General Repairs & Maintenance
Installing a new Jabsco head. Current head has a (I think) 60 amp breaker and correspondingly large capacity wire (battery cable size). New unit calls for a 25 amp breaker and 8 gauge wire. Need to find a 25 amp breaker switch to match current switches in panel.
Thanks greatly for any help , advice or direction!

Hi all,
bought this boat a couple of years ago in Sydney Australia and am needing to replace the aft bed portlight. Wondering if someone can tell me what brand and model they are as there are no identifying names etc i can see on the one thats in there.
Also wondering if anyone has a link to replace the 2 side windows as all the rubbers have perished and the aluminium is heavily oxidised?
Many thanks

Post SeaRanger PL-1B Depth finder

The new-to-me Santego 27 I recently acquired had a non functional SeaRanger unit. Being me ... I found a NOS unit and bought that ... and only then find that the paddlewheel sensor (Triducer) on the boat is missing, and was not included with the new unit. The cable is still tied up between the two outdrives.
Of course, as with much of the electronics world, the mfg is defunct.
So ... anyone know of a source for a paddlewheel style transducer? Can transducer wires be spliced?

Does anyone know if there is an after market supplier of single roller type door latches available for my 350 Mariner 1998? If not Home Depot will have to do.

Post New Guy new boat question

1990 2587 Allegra, new to me. Almost time to winterize and we just bought the boat, haven’t been able to explore as it much as I’d like. The engine compartment has a power lift that raises the back seat for access to the engines. But is there a release so you can lift manually in case of dead battery? And I usually remove batteries for the winter so need to be able to close and then open it in the spring with no power. How do we do that?

Just bought a 1990 2587 Allegra with twin 350 Mercruisers. Been boating on lakes here in Oklahoma my entire life, but this is a big step away from the runabouts and pontoons we ever owned. I know it’s a baby yacht compared to most here, but still lots of systems to figure out and maintain. Hoping this will be the resource we need to help manage the old girl.
