Post 83 2807 with a loose strut

Hello,

So I have an 83 Riviera with a single crusader. The entire drive train was working smooth and perfect. I recently struck two logs on two separate occasions. After the first strike (more like a little nudge) I noticed an extremely small vibration. Small enough that I wasn't convinced that it wasn't my imagination. Next time out I found another one.( Log), (I really need to be back on the dock before sunset!!!)

Now I have a considerably noticable wobble, And I'm getting water in my aft hold.. ...

Post Carver 370 voyager

Hi everyone I am seriously looking at a 94 voyager and have read all the posts but still have a few questions. How well does the boat handle rough seas? When we were at the marina the water lapping on the boat seemed to echo and made it a very loud boat is it my imagination. If I needed to replace the couch what fits, would like a sleeper type sofa. Is maintenance access reasonable? Do the fuel tanks need replacing or are they generally bullet proof? Any other thoughts on this boat would be ...

Post 1995 390 cpmy Hull construction

Is it me?? But for the life of me I can’t get a straight answer on is this a solid fiberglass Hull

Or is it cored ? I’m about to make a purchase and it will be a bit taxing on us but we so love the layout

Just can’t find if sides are cored past water line is the transom cored past the water line

Stated that you could go by model to know think ending in 7 or higher meant solid and lower meant cored well at 390 I don’t know if 0 is good or bad lol. Any info would be so appreciated :banghead:

Post Replacement deck lighting 380 Santego 1994

Where do you get the bulbs or better yet, does anyone have a solution to replace the insides with led? Id like to do the same to the cabin lights. Problem is the dimmers. Is there a good led that can dim as well?
Any advice welcome.

Post Slider Door Lock

Does anyone know what brand or what type of replacement lock I can get for this slider. I searched could not find any brand info markings whatsoever.

I need a new lock tumbler and I've ordered a few, but nothing seems to fit so far.

Post Oil change?

I am not one to change oil early, I rather go to what is recommended. I changed my 2019 Tiguan every 10,000 and when I owned heavy diesel tractor trailers it was once a year or 100,000 miles. I would get 850,000 + from my trucks and get over 350,000 from my cars when I trade them.

ANYWAY:::::::::

This was not a great year for boating for us as the Admiral had her medical issues. She is doing great so we are blessed. I ran genset once for an hour to run it. Engines (454 gas carb) port 1100 hours, ...

Post Update on Carver resource attempt.

Hello All! Finally was able to connect with Brian and Pat, customer service guys from Carver who we all appreciated. They are back with the surviving company, Cruisers Yachts, and working through the transition. Unfortunately, they have been "instructed" to not entertain inquiries for Carver legacy information. They are disappointed, but it is what it is. Phone numbers, email addresses, etc., have all been changed to avoid contact. I am working on getting one of my other contacts to register in ...

Post LOL, MAKE sure your Vacuflush is ON before flushing!

Another great weekend aboard the Holodeck. This one was a pisser, excuse me. Using the aft head after breakfast (doing what one does in there after breakfast!) ANYWAY, I stepped on the peddle to flush and , well the switch was off and very little vacuum was in the tank. SO, when the valve opened, instead of going DOWN, the contents of said toilet was spewed UPWARD, splashing EVERYWHERE, including on me. Aft head got a through cleaning! Moral? ALWAYS check your vacu flush switch or things go in r ...

Post Tank Monitor system

I have a new Tech-Edge iSeries tank monitor system. Bought for a project then sold the boat.

It comes with three external tank sensors with the foil tape, but will monitor up to 8 tanks. The other tanks might be able to use an existing sensor or you can get different types of sensors that will work. According to Tech-Edge, it is the ONLY tank monitor tested and approved by the United States Coast Guard. It is NMMA Certified using ABYC® standards. Lots of customizable features in the panel ...
