It's in great shape, but the control console has bleached out totally, leaving me facing a bank of switches and guages with no idea at all what they're supposed to do. We've done a good deal of switch flipping and trying to see what happens, but that strikes me as somewhat ill-advised. Does anyone have a console map for this vessel? I've bought a boat that *needs work*. One of the fuel tanks has had a gasoline leak for some time. Now with the leaking tank removed, how do I go about getting rid of the lingering gas smell? Naturally my main concern is with soft surfaces. I don't mind replacing the carpet, but I don't want to have to remove the headliner.

I need to find a replacement rudder port for a 28ft Mariner. The part number on the casting is 51232 but I'm coming up empty searching on-line. It's for an 1-1/4" shaft and by best measurement appears to be a 12 degree angle. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I'm a new Carver owner - 1986 36' - and batteries are not charging. Here is a shot of the starboard alternator. It looks shot to me and have a mechanic coming out 4/20, but what is the rectangular item wired to it? The regulator? See pic below
