While flushing my engines one at a time, I heard this noise coming from the transmission area. Sounds like a knock or maybe even grinding. It seems to go away or lessen in gear but the load on the engine is increasing, and the engine noise may just overwhelm the sound. It is hard to hear with both engines running. 2002 Carver 346
Just came to visit my boat only to hear an audible alarm coming from the cockpit. Turned out to be the Fireboy suppression system discharge alarm. I checked down below in the engine compartment, and everything looked good. Extinguish gauge is in the green. Any ideas why it would go off?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I recently acquired this 2004 366 with a Kohler 7.3e genny. My old boat (‘92) you had to shut off shore power, turn off the boat a/c breakers, fire up the genny, after a couple min turn the a/c breakers back on. With this boat, the previous owner said I didn’t have to do any of that and can just fire it up and everything switches over.

A. Is this correct? If not, what is the proper procedure?

B. If so, should I shut off breakers on shut down?

C. When I do crank the genny from the dc panel I hear a ...

The head seems to be original. Looks like 1985 with a full handle pump. I am having problems with the water going down slowly but pumping pulls water in just fine. I can't seem to locate a valve to make the hand lever pump switch to push the water into the tank. What's the deal? Is it blocked or am I blind?

Hello all,I have a 1987 Carver 28 Voyager and am trying to find control cable length for starboard transmission shifter.These are from fly bridge to transmission.The cable that is there has no markings.

We are thinking about upgrading our 3807 to a 405 or 406. Problem is our slip is 16 ft tall. Does anybody know the exact height from the top of the arch to the water on the 405/406? We had to take our radar down for the 3807. It is 15’4”. 16’ marina roofs really limit the boat options.

Need to run some wires to the bridge. Has anyone removed the headliner in the salon? How is it attached? Any pics would be appreciated along with anyone who has removed headliner sections!

We own a 2024 Marquis 500 SB. After dewinterization, we turned on water pump and 2 of our sinks (VIP and guest stateroom) head faucets won't turn off. Nothing happens when you turn handle. All other sinks work fine. This happens whether we are hooked up to shore water or water pump. We believe there might be mineral build up as this happened to one of our showers before.
