Post Interior wood trim

hello! I have an 83 3396 Mariner. I have some rot under the window by the galley. It appears that someone tried to repair it with foam. I want to replace the board and fix it properly. I have been told that in the 70's and 80's carver used teak in the interior. If I can get this board off without breaking it, it will be in the 12-15 foot range as it goes from the very back of the salon to the berthing area, do they even sell teak in that length anymore? if not what is a suitable replacemen ...

My 2004 466 MY has 9 white cup holders on the bridge. The cup holders have a hole in the bottom and are attached to a hose for drainage. Anyone know where I can get replacements?
Thanks to all.

Post 3807 both Transmissions stuck in reverse

Hello,
looking for a little help,,( 1989 3807 Aft Cabin) I was underway yesterday i got about 1000 feet from the dock and when I shifted into neutral, then reverse, both motors were stayed in reverse - the levers shifted fine but but transmissions remained in reverse. even when I put the levers in neutral it stayed in reverse. dropped my hook and had to get towed in. any suggestions.... ? it weird that both transmissions did this at the same time.

Post Spare Switch on 12V Panel Turns on Fan

Hello Everyone,

We are just starting to get involved with our new (to us) 1998 355 Aft Cabin. It's in top shape and we love all of it!

One item came up the other day. We turned on a "spare" switch on the 12V panel and a fan was started.

The Red Dot was NOT on and the fan exhaust seemed to be coming out of the heater vents throughout the boat. It was cold air.

Any ideas what I've stumbled onto?

More crazy and ridiculous questions to come. Thanks for everyone's help.

Take Care, Greg

Post How does your 3227 handle?

Good evening all.

I’m curious to hear opinions from any 3227 owners out there regarding the handling characteristics of their boats.

How are they in chop, how far have you traveled in one. Have you ventured out for some deep sea fishing as their old brochure mentions?

Any and all thoughts on the 3227 Convertible are greatly appreciated.

Post Shower Sump

Good Morning,
I have a 1997 355AC and the shower sump is not working. Checked with a volt meter and I'm not getting any power. I reset all of the breakers and they all appear to be working. Is there a switch or GFCI that the pump may be wired to? We had a bunch of kids on the boat yesterday so anything is possible..

Thanks,

Dan

Post Perko Sliding window anti-rattle stops

Hi Guys, I don't know if anyone is interested in this but I had to fix the Perko sliding window anti rattle stops on our Carver. The screws are plastic and they broke. They are a 1/4" x 20 thread. I replaced them with a stainless steel thumbscrew knob.

Then I added one of these to the end. You have to remove the metal insert not hard. It pops right out. Then you thread it on to the end. Will add a lit ...
