Post Hi All! About to be Carver Owners!

Good Morning, Everyone.

My wife and I are moving up to a 1992 33' Aft Cabin from our Sea Ray 280SD. Well, we are still in process - subject to survey and sea trial, which will be in a month or so.

Any advice on Carvers in general, or this model in particular, would be very welcome indeed! Any issues with the 454 Crusaders (approx 1000 hrs)?

A big step up for us in length, beam, and weight (and comfort), but we're very excited!

Cheers!

Post Winterizing A/C

I believe this was mentioned before, but I usually winterize my A/C by opening the strainer and pouring pink stuff in while i. Is running to push it through the system. kind of a PITA because the strainer goes dry and have to wait for the pump to pick up again. I thought I saw a post here that someone put a 3 way ball valve on and opened it to allow the pink to be pumped by a separate pump through the system?

Looking for same manufacturer's recommendations as above.

Post Swim Platform Dilemma

With spring approaching I want to tackle an issue from last season.
When we purchased our Santego last spring one of the big selling factors was the nice big extended add on swim platform.
The platform sits very close to the surface of the water and thought that was a great feature. Nice and roomy and easy to re-board the boat from a swim.

However we noticed it dragged in the water when underway especially when attempting to get the boat on plane.
Then it started to become loose. As in almost fallin ...

Post Carver Montego

Greetings all,

I have been a long time Carver owner (1987 Carver Montego 3257) and just discovered this forum.
We love our boat (Just Another Grand) except for the lack of a radar arch... and a few deck blisters. Ahhh the joys of owning an older boat!

Post Strange water pressure issue

We just purchased a 2000 Carver 53 Voyager. When we are connected to Marina water every faucet works great, including our shower in the master. When we use the water pump, our master shower has zero pressure, both from the faucet and if we switch to the wand. Every other faucet works perfectly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Post Hello Carver Team!

Hi everyone!
I am the original owner of a 2015 Carver C40. Prior to that, I had a C34 ....

I have worked my way thru quite a few 'post warranty' issues over the years (and still running into them routinely ;).

Looking forward to the forums!

Post Replacing water heater - 2000 C530

My water heater is rusted out and leaking on my 2000 Carver 530, I am going to replace it. Anyone have recommendations or suggestions on how to remove the old one and get the new one in? I'm thinking I may have to remove the outer housing of the tank. I may also be able to make it fit by removing a few things, but it's still going to be one heck of a tight squeeze. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated!
