I just removed this from the boat for the winter. I did notice some burn marks. couple months ago tide was very high and these two were connected to each other. there was protection, but water must have gotten in. When i got to boat, I pulled it higher away from the water and did not open and check. Continued using it for 3+ months with no problems. And when I was removing one set (I have 2, one for normal power, other for AC). I noticed the burn marks (see pictures). Again they seemed t ...

Post Carver 356 couch and other seating
- Posted by: cpoint » December 28th, 2019, 9:45 pm
- Forum: Boat Parts For Sale
Hi all. I am not sure there is a demand for the 2000 carver 356 reclining couch set and also the kitchen table seating (cushions only)? I am in the process of making custom seating, so all existing seating in dining area and sitting area will need to go. Also I am not sure if the main section of the recliner can be taken apart to remove from the door? I will check when I get back to it. If It will not fit through door (and probably will not), than I will have to chop it up and dispose of it ...

Hello all,
My name is Scott Swaney. I've been boating on the Hudson River for 19 years. My prior boats were a 1997 Maxum 2100 bow rider for fun in the sun, and a 2002 Rinker 342 express cruiser that has covered from Lake Champlain to Long Island Sound many times.
My new-to-me boat is a 1996 Carver 455. Although I know a good bit about boats and boating in general, I am making the transition from gas to diesel power so I have a whole lot to learn. I look forward to hearing and sharing stories a ...

Post Wanted to buy ~ Carver 444 Cockpit Motor Yacht

- Forum: Carver Boats For Sale
New to this forum and I am hoping to locate someone who will be selling their Carver 444 CMY in the near future.
We’re located in Seabrook, Texas and REALLY don’t want to have to go too far from home i.e. Florida as that will add thousands of dollars to the cost by the time we fly back and forth 3 - 4 times...not to mention the gas and time to get her home.
Also, we’re concerned about buying inland as the radar arch (at least) would have to be removed. That in and of itself isn’t an issue, I’m w ...

Post Flybridge Cover

I had my 1994 390 CPMY shrink wrapped AGAIN this year. The marina will not let anyone in to wrap. But themselves, So I had to grin and bear it to the tune of $1475.00! (OUCH!) I am on Cape Cod so we get SOME snow, sometimes a decent amount, but mostly none. I was thinking of a. Winter flybridge cover to protect the bridge from the elements. Then I would remove the rear enclosure side curtains and let it stay exposed, as the carpeting is also removable. Anyone use a winter cover or had a lead on ...

Hello everyone:
New to the group and just purchased a 2000 Carver 396 in Chattanooga and will be bring the vessel upstream to home base in Knoxville. The boat has what I believe to be the original equipment chart plotter a SIMRAD CP 30(?). I am wondering if anyone has replaced such a unit and if there might be a "plug and play" replacement. Not looking forward to a whole system replacement but any experience or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any thoughts on the ...

- Forum: Gas Engines/Transmissions
Hello. On my Carver 28 i have 2 different transmission cooler on is about 25cm long and the other 40cm long. Is there any reason or did someone just replace one with something that was easy to find?.
And where can i find the correct one with shipping world wide?.
Why i want to change is because the "End" on one of them popped off and seawater started flowing so i want to change both to have it done.
