Hope the picture will post. this is in the forward cabin of the boat we just bought, it appears to be an old water stain that I believe may have came from a one time or slow time event. It both feels and smells like an old event. What could cause a one time event like this or do I have a problem ?

Someone stole our swim platform ladder cover. Need to find a used one as Carver disposed the molds.

We have a 2006 Carver 36MY purchased fall of last year. I can see where is there is lips in frame of the forward berth ceiling hatch which I assume would hold a blackout screen. We didn't find on the vessel.

Has anyone replaced theirs? if so where did you get it ?

We are in the mid-stages of purchasing 2000 Carver 406. We will be keeping it mostly in Michigan. I have 40+ years of international offshore experience.
We are over the top with the Carver and can’t wait to put some hours on her.

I started thinking about my charger, nothing wrong with it however I am a little concerned about its rated output and not being as smart as I would like. The unit is a Charles 5000 series 60a which is connected to 3 banks.

My issue is although it is rated at 60a, most of this is sitting idle as it really is the house bank that needs all the juice quickly and if I understand this correctly that give me only 20a on the house. On top of this if I read the specs on the link below it only bulk charges ...

Hi all... Prepping the boat for launch after a long layup. Port motor turned over great. Starboard gives me a 3.3 fault. Can't clear it. The motor gives a clunk when I try to crank it but that's it. Thoughts? Anyone know what a 3.3 is? It's not in the manual. Thanks in advance

Boys and girls, my 32 ft. Montego has a Kohler 6.5 kw generator. Has issues starting and running. Got the guys out, and they say it will be more cost and time efficient to pull that thing out. My bad back concurs with trying to get back down there. The question, solitician of opinions, or whatever, do I go for the new carb, possibly a new starter and cooling system on a 1987 unit? A new unit would be NEW, not old pistons, rings etc?
What say you?

I have recently purchased a 1987, 3607 Aft. The forward shower box appears to have the shower,forward sink and two other lines that I believe my be the forward and salon AC condensation lines draining into it. Is this normal? Thank you.

I’m hoping this is it easy question/solution. I have three bildge pumps with three float switches located on the hull at the forward, mid, and aft locations. There is also a high water float switch located slightly higher mounted on the stringer in the aft and mid location. All except the two high water float switches test OK. The high water bildge switches do not turn the bilge pump‘s on when tested. What silly, stupid, or magical thing am I missing? Shouldn’t these two switches test? I f ...
