Post VuQube in Canada

Hi Folks,

Wondering if any of our Canadian members have tried the VuQube portable satellite system? It’s a fraction of the price of the “tracking satellite” systems and I don’t watch TV while I’m driving :-P

Post 110v outlets in the Salon of a 2005 41 CMY

Carver only decided to only put one 110v outlet in the Salon and it happens to be above the galley counter.

I was running an extension cord to the bench seats but want a permanent solution to avoid a tripping hazard.

I have thought of coming off the fwd guest head's outlet and putting one of those pop-up outlets on the ledge under the salon window in between the couch and the bench seats, that would take care of the port side.

On the Starboard side I'll put one where the phone jack is (thanks to M ...

Post 7.4L TBI fuel pressure problems

I am experiencing 14 psi fuel pressure and engine hesitates under load and will not rev past 3100 rpm. I replaced 2 fuel filters and Oberg was clean as a whistle. I replaced the fuel regulator in the TBI. But suspect it is still bad. I squoze the return line with pliers for an instant while the engine was running and fuel pressure instantly shot to max on the dial. I am certain the fuel pump is good now.

My question, is there different fuel pressures that Crusader or Chevy used on different mo ...

Post Hello Kristen & Joe from Washington with a 310 express

We just bought a 96 310 express and already have our first question. How hard is it to pull the radar arch for transit?
Anyone have one on a trailer and know the total height?
Picking ours up this week and have not been able to get an accurate measurement.

Cheers from Cashmere Washington

Post Packing size for a 3807.

The shaft packing on my port engine is leaking. I loosened the jam nut and when I tried to tighten the packing gland, it only had two or three threads remaining. I am going to have to replace the packing. Does anybody know the packing size and how many rings are supposed to be in there? The shaft is 1-3/4”.
Thanks in advance, Vic

Post Wood?

So I discovered an issue during a trip to the boat today- the plywood 'tray' supporting my fresh water tanks has collapsed causing my plumbing to crimp etc. I've pulled my HW Heater and tanks and am now pulling out all of the original wood (hell of a mess), but my question to all of you is:

What should I use to build the new replacement trays?

Thanks! Ben

Post '99 404 CPMY Hot Water Heater leaks, must replace - how do I get it out?

The galvanized steel hot water heater in my 1999 404 cpmy (the 355 design with a cockpit) sprung a leak we can't repair. I bypassed it for the time being but we can't live without hot water, and must replace it. The issue is removing and replacing. It is installed under the dinette forward, starboard. Just aft of it is the forward vacuum generator for the vacuflush in the forward head, and just forward of it, under the dinette seat, is the forward AC unit.

Has anyone figured out how to get an ...

Post Flat Screen TV Suggestions

I would like to upgrade the 20" TV on my 2005 Mariner. I would like to get a larger screen, possibly adjustable mount and would appreciate any thoughts and suggestions that may come to mind. Do you think a larger screen would look ridiculous and fit the aesthetics of the space.? If there is a brand, mounting, size, etc., that comes to mind it would be very helpful.
I know you folks love everything about our boats, including the looks, and your feedback is will be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Post EV150 Autopilot Calibration

I am in the process of installing a new navigation/radar/auto pilot package on our boat (Raymarine). In reading the autopilot material, part of the calibration process requires an input of the maximum degrees of rudder travel and time to rudder hard over. I looked through the boat’s parts and operations manual but cannot find that information. Before I call Carver does anybody have that information?

Post Radar Arch - Great Loop - 466

It looks as though I may need to release and tip the radar arch on our 466 we decided to do the loop. I presume this is doable? Does anyone have experience here that might want to chime in?

Thanks in advance
