Post New/Used Parts for Carver

Hi, I m new to the site, so I apologize if this topic has previously been addressed. I am looking for supplier(s) for all things Carver. I have 2000 Carver 356, and I have a number of things that I am looking for or to replace. A lot of these models (prior/after) have an entertainment console on the aft deck. Some were equipped with icemakers, sinks, etc. Mine, however, never had one. I would like to find a used unit to add. Just a lot of things I would like to upgrade, and I'm having a ...

Post Vacu Flush Woes

Started firing up the systems on the boat only to find the forward toilet would not build a vacuum. I push the flush pedal, the bowl opens, water flows but just builds up as there is no vacuum in the line. I hear the chug a chug sound so the unit is trying to build a vacuum but just goes on and on. I let it run like this for a good 15 minutes, shut her down and tried again for a good 15 minutes but no joy. Can someone point me in the right direction before I rip everything apart unnecessarily.

Post First ever boat... Finally!

I just found this forum, and I’m tickled to finally be able to join a boating forum as an OWNER instead of as a wannabe dreamer! After deciding in 2010 that I really needed to have my own boat (liveaboard, eventually), and seven years of dreaming and scheming and learning all I could, it all came together for me last fall... and in October, I found myself the proud owner of a ‘92 Carver 33 Aft!

Post Finally floating!

Foxy Joe was splashed yesterday at 0800hrs. Port Engine fired up instantly, starboard...nothing. 5 hours of climbing around in my engine room, I found a single wire running to my Volvo brain box had become corroded enough to have a voltage drop - which renders a no-start situation. 2 minute fix and she fired up like nothing happened.

Bring on the summer!

Post Hello to the Carver community.

I bought my '76 Santa Cruz 2866 ten years ago as my entry into the "bigger" boat world. I have to say I bought it for the classic lines, and the monster deck. I have since found that surrounding that deck (and underneath it) is a world of fun and enjoyment. The boat is solid. The wood accents give it some class (and cause me some work), but as a retired guy, it's worth it to have something to work on. I have only driven it from the lower station once (a heavy rain on Lake Ontario). The singl ...
