Post Carver 1995 320 exessive exhaust noise

This a first post from Handyaussie.

My 1995 carver is LOUD. 78 decibels. I am trying to quieten the beast down. Twin gm 350 with Crusader manifold, riser. recently purchased the boat.

Looking at the exhaust I find 4" hoses 30" long, straight from the riser to the muffler (XC-CAR-P1197). Then out the side thru-hulls.

What I need some input on is:

1. According to the Carver manual. There is a part #74363001 "Exhaust damper" Missing. No suppliers seem to know what this is. Or, what it does. ??

2. Each ...

Post Sales brochures for 89,90, 91 and others

Wanted to see if there was interest here before I put them up on EBAY. I have several of the Carver model brochures from various years. I know I have 89, 90, 91 and I think 93, but I know I have others too. If you're looking for a specific year, let me know and I'll dig around

Post 1979 3326 Voyager Flybridge removal

I have purchased a 1978 Voyager and am trying to get it shipped. Can anyone help me out with a general idea as to how the flybridge comes off? I can figure out the wiring, and steering issues, but mechanically how is it attached? From what I have been able to find it just says that it is attached with stainless screws around the bottom, Can anyone enhance this description?

Thanks!

Post Plug/caps on sundeck railing

Needing to replace the white plastic caps that cover the screw holes along the top rail (star board?) that surrounds the sundeck enclosure on my 97 445.

Haven't had luck trying to source them, and clearly 20 years of UV has worn half of mine out, so may be a common fix?

Post New Owner Carver 504

We are new owners of a Hardtop Carver 504 CPMY. We plan to start the Great Loop in the Winter of 2018 from Florida after we get used to the boat. We looked for a year and a half and then found a broker we liked. He was patient and very knowledgeable. We also hired a surveyor who got me involved in the survey and provided valuable training to me on the survey, haul out and sea trial. We look forward to getting to know and converse with you all. Have a Very Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday Season ...

Post New Owner Carver 3207 in the UK

Just saying Hi to all.

I have recently bought a Carver 3207 Aft Cabin with twin Volvo Penta power.

The boat is a 1989 aft cabin model with double berth, so I guess maybe an early 1990.

She was bought new here in the UK, and has had very little use over the years. Engine hrs are 1100.

We are currently berthed inland at York Marina on the river Ouse.

Whilst she has been little used, we have bought her with a few gremlins.

Most are to do with the electrical system, (Batteries) which due to lack of use ar ...

Post “Refer” breaker

What might the circuit breaker that is labeled “Refer” power? I thought it may be the refrigerator but don’t believe that is it because it keeps running when I switch it off. Couldn’t find it in the manual, and searched online with no success.

Anyone else know what it is?

Kind of a dumb question I guess, but looked at sources and couldn’t find anything.

Thanks,

Nate
