Post Bildge Blowers/Ventilation

I have a 84 Carver 3607 with 454 Crusaders that I bought 3 months ago. I've notice a stronger than normal gas/exhaust smell lately after being away from the boat for a few days. I've thoroughly cleaned the already clean bildge and checked for any type of gas leak, there are none. When I checked the blowers, the 4" inch on the port side was blowing into the bildge while the starboard side is sucking out of the bildge. Both blower hoses go to the port side vent. Is this normal? It seems to m ...

Post SOLD!: 1987 Carver Riviera Aftcabin

1987 Carver Riviera aft-cabin cruiser. It is in very good condition. It has been used on the Great Sacandaga Lake on a large Adirondack Mountain lake in upstate New York the last three seasons. Runs awesome! It has two 305 Crusader V8 motors which makes maneuvering easy. Using one engine in reverse, and the other engine in forward, the boat can be turned in place in circles in either direction. The interior has custom cherry wood as shown in the pictures. It has a forward cabin with a triangular ...

Post Carver

If you hold down the "fan" button, it will cycle from automatic mode into manual mode and then through each fan speed. I think on mine it starts at "1" and goes up to "6".

Get a infrared thermometer and measure the air coming out of the vent. The thermometers are cheap to buy now on Amazon and are handy for a bunch of other things. It would be better to know exactly what "moderately cool" means numerically before we can offer a suggestion.

Also, there is a reversing valve on top of the unit that c ...

Post WANTED - SHOWER drip diverter

Looking for a diverter that will direct the shower water back into the shower instead of allowing it to drip down and out of the shower onto the floor.

Post shower door water diverter

our 1990 Santego shower door does NOT have a diverter to direct the water back into the shower. it just runs down the door and outside of the shower, which has now lifted the linoleum. Actually I'm glad as I wanted new teak/holly flooring in the head anyway. But I have to fix the water problem before I get the new floor. Does anyone know where I can find this item? We tried using one that I special ordered from Home Depot but it's not doing the job. :-(

Post Carver Mariner owners question

Just bought a 2004 360 mariner.

Curious if you guys have pics of your seating setup in rear above engine hatches as well in the fly bridge. What kind of chairs do you recommend. What table size. Do you use umbrellas or do you have canvas etc. Basically what have you added to this model you think would be a pro tip for other owners.
Please share or show and tell is better. We all like pics!
THX in advance
Cory

Post Anchor Locker in 405

Hello All,
I am getting new anchor chain and rope for my 405. Looking in the anchor locker on how to secure the rope, I see the is no eye bolt or secure point to attach the rode. Totally surprised. What have you done? Is there sufficient structure in the locker floor to install a hard point?
I am also considering a Rocna 20 or 45 lb Manson Supreme. Anyone have these on their boat and how did you set them up?
Your comments and suggestions are appreciated.
Jim

Post New Carver 3607 Owner in New Bern. NC

First time Carver owner, we've recently bought a 1982 Carver 3607 Aft Cabin. Its set with twin gas power plants, so this will be new for me too, having previously owned a single-screw diesel trawler. So far, I'm fairly impressed with the Carver's overall form and function. The interior is very durable and seem to hold its shape well, but their exposed deck materials seem to age less gracefully than other boats I've experienced in the past. We may spend weekends throughout the fall and coming ...

Post 1990 42 ft Carver motor yacht

Hello
Can anyone please tell me what the clearance is from the waterline to the top of the arch.
Yachtworld says 20 feet but that seems way to much for a 42 foot boat.
Thanks
