Post New 350 Mariner owner

Hey All,

So I have left my Bayliner behind and am in the process of buying a '98/ 350 Mariner. She is a little dirty, she is in need of a some love, but provided the survey says she is sound, she will be mine. You will all probably get sick of my questions as my projects start. But looking forward to the journey!

Post New Owner!

Hey everyone, I am now the new proud owner of a 1988 Santego 2767. It's an awesome boat and I'm super excited. Having said that I have a couple questions if ya'll don't mind pointing me in the right direction (I'm about to search the forum as well but with any new site I always try to post a intro post before anything else).

My engine trim isn't working at all. Tomorrow I'm going to be doing the usual running around with a multimeter to figure out where there's power and whatnot, but I was wonde ...

Post Both shore power circuit breakers went bad?

Hooked up to shore power and had 110 v for a very brief moment. Now both breaker at shore power input bad? Turned off panel breakers to isolate power input and checked power cables, breakers. Breakers pass continuity check. But will not pass 110v. Breakers have no positive set. They have no resistance when throwing them on. What would cause this?? I have no ideas!

I have a 96 Carver 355. What are the side vents on the hull for, and why are there Snap-on covers for them?

Post Voyager 450 genny exhaust

My 450 Voyager exhausts into the swim platform. I have water pushing out of my rub rail. I assume there is a break in the exhaust tunnel. Has anyone one else come across this?

Post Shaft alignment

2003 Carver 564 with Volvo D12 and ZF311 transmission. When we purchased the boat in 2013 our surveyor recommended shaft alignment. We have not done this as yet now just over 200 hours. I'd like recommendation as to the necessity of having this done. I do not have any vibration issues. The prop were tuned in 2016.

I do see what looks like black like soot or maybe small pieces of rubber under the transmission.

Is there a rubber gear between the engine and the transmission?

Any ideas would ...

Post No fuel pressure when engines are hot after shut down

I have a 2000 Carver 350 Mariner with Mercury 350 MAG motors. After running in hot temperatures and sitting for approximately 1.50 hours engines will not restart. I don't have any fuel pressure. It appears something is shutting down the fuel pumps. Once engines cool down they will restart as normal.
