Post Sealand Tank Watch III

Anyone know where to get a set of replacement probes for a decent price?
I plan to pull them out of one of my tanks and hopefully clean them and return to service, but I would like to install a new set and close the hole quickly. Using the repaired set (hopefully) for the second tank leaving me with a spare.

Any help is appreciated.

Post What new electronics would you add to your boat ?

Was sitting on the deck looking thru a 50 page glossy catalogue ( somebody marine) of all the current marine electronics from one of the manufacturers.....wow there really is some neat stuff out there now, from fish finders, night vision cameras, touch screens, all sorts of engine data interfaces........endless.

So I was wondering what would you get for your boat if money was no object........ :beergood:

Post Pump Out Adapter Threads

I have a 1986 3607 aft cabin with two holding tanks - but can't seem to find a threaded adapter or pipe size to thread into the deck plate. Any idea on what size and threads they maybe?

I have tried the SeaLand Nozalls without luck. So for now I use the pressure based nozzle with shield, but it can be awkward if I am not tied up on the same side as the deck plates.

My HIN prefix is CDRT

Post A/C Water Flow Adequate?

My 1986 3297 Mariner has a reverse cycle heating/cooling unit. When I turned it on I turned the starting knob to "start", waited 12 - 20 seconds, and then turned the knob to "run." Panel light came on and fan started pushing chilled air, soon reaching 68 degrees (F). I then checked the overboard outlet from the AC unit. I describe the flow as "weak" , barely enough flow for the water to clear the hullside. Is this okay? Other units in my marina have a lot more pressure behind their raw wate ...

Post Sliding Door issues on Carver Mariner 350

I have some questions regarding the performance of my sliding door on my Carver Mariner 350. First the door is grinding when I open and close it. There is a similar post to this, but I think my issue is more involved then that post.

Issue 1) My sliding door is grinding metal on metal on the top right corner of the door. If I look closely at the track on the top of the door, there us a plastic bump that sticks out on the outside of the door. This ball helps the door glide against the track on the ...

Post 406 Taking Water from Stbd Engine Vent

Hello All,
New to the forum with a 2001 406. It took me about 3 weeks to determine that my water leak is from rough water boating and rain (washing). If the stbd. side takes water on the deck, it drains and drips right into the engine vent from the walkway. I assume the vent is supposed to drain but I end up with wet carpet at the lower landing going into the aft cabin. I have so far learned that if it is going to rain hard, pull the carpet back and prepare to soak up the water.

Is there a kno ...

Post Carver 356 RPM issues

I am sure I have another posting tagged on to some one else here somewhere. But this is a fresh issue, so here it goes. Last 2 weeks I noticed the starboard engine RPM is a bit on high side now. Been dealing with port side issues, hate to start on starboard side. Basically when starts RPM is at about 1000 RPM, where as port side is about 800 RPM. Before they used to be same. I don't hear anything funny from the engines. I know port side still has fuel issues, I am dealing with that. But ...
