Post 89 santego 3467, cabin door

Hello fellow santegoians, now getting around to addressing my sliding cabin door which is clearly out of square.

With so many screws in place it is hard to believe it moved. No visible signs of cracking or frame movement. Before I start taking it apart I thought of listing this out there for advice.

Thanks

Post Starter Solenoid

Howdy!

I'm having a strange problem with my port engine that I'm hoping I can get some help with. When I turn the key to the "run" position, the starter runs and the engine will start without ever turning the key to the "start" position. I can't really tell if the starter stays engaged once the engine starts, but I think that it disengages.

Does this sound like the starter solenoid is stuck in the "on" position? Why doesn't the starter run even with the key in the "off" position like it would i ...

Hello out there to all the carver owners! I have joined mainly to let you all know that I am selling my 1987 Riviera.
It is a great boat( but they all are) in very good overall condition. Our kids are grown and not really into boating anymore
so we are trying to downsize to a cuddy size boat. It is located at the Lake of The Ozarks region in Missouri.
I am accepting reasonable and realistic offers. Send inquiries to sperrycc@centurylink.net

Post The Fishfly Hatch

The fishflies have hatched here in Gibraltar Michigan. My boat is covered with them. The marina has turned off all the lights here to cut down on them but my being aboard with my interior lights on has drawn them to my boat.

Looks like I will be washing my boat later today to get rid of them. After today I will not be back to my boat until next Monday. I am hoping that the weather cooperates and I can head up-river to watch the Detroit/Windsor Freedom Festival Fireworks.

1) Oil pressure
2) Water in fuel filter 1)
3) Battery
4) Coolant temperature
5) Coolant level 1)
6) Oil level 1)
7) Fault/serious fault

So the warning I am dealing with #6

Post cleaning sea strainer on 1986 Mariner 3297

We are the proud new owner, and feeling kinda silly. Please tell me where the sea strainers for the engines are. One engine runs a little hot over 20 RPMs, and someone told me that could be the problem.

Post Engine Hour Meter Running Fast

I have a Carver 406 with twin 7.4 Mercruisers. I keep a log when I cruise and noticed on the last two cruises of around two hours each that my port engine hour meter chocked up twice the hours of the starboard hour meter even though both engines have been used simultaneously. The starboard hour meter appears to be correct. Any ideas on how to fix the port hour meter?
