Post Battery Equalization

The new charger that I installed in the boat last season has a equalization feature in it for flooded batteries. I would be interested in some feedback about doing this process how often etc etc. I understand what is going on but have found limited information about it.

Thanks

Post BRIDGE PANELS

I have a 1995 Santego 380. I am looking to replace the 5 plastic panels that slide in and cover the walk-thru from the bridge down to the bow. I called Carver and they said they do not make them anymore. Any ideas on where I can purchase these?

Post Darken wood interior on Mariner

We are in the final steps of looking for a Mariner 1997 to 2003. We have found several candidates all over the country that we like different options and features on. My wife does not care for the bleached / pickled / light wood finish on the interior wood surfaces of the early model mariners. She likes the darker finish on later generation models.

I understand there is a lot of wood inside the cabin. What could be done to darken the wood. What are my options if we end up with a boat that has th ...

Post NEW charger

1994 CPMY390 Standard factory battery set up of 3 batteries. I just bought a 50 Amp Pronautic charger, as the 20amp I have is in my opinion too small. I am planning on keeping Batt Bank #1 as starting and hanging Batt Bank #2 from a 12 volt deep cycle to 2 or 4 6 volt GC batteries. Anyone in this vintage vessel do that? Where did you find the space to place those 2 or 4 GC batteries?

Post mercruiser mefi 3 discussion

Engines 2001 mx6.2 merc mpi......I would like to use this thread for this type of discussion for anyone.....In a short while, hopefully, I will be getting the boat ready and want to go thru each engine and check harness plugs, grounds etc because at the end of the year the port engine would try to stall the odd time when you pulled the throttle back quick..otherwise ran like a champ, great fuel mileage etc.......I will clean the plate on the Tb, lube the linkage, and check the iac filter etc....h ...

Post Trim Tab Brace

I just bought a 2005 Carver 396 Motor Yacht. When we pulled it out for the survey, I found both trim tabs to have a metal brace on them as shown in the picture. No one in the yard knew why they were there.

Does anyone have any experience with these braces? They do not slide, but at bolted tight.

Post securing Kayak/ Paddle board on front rails

Hi All, curious to see how folks are securing kayaks/ stand up paddle boards to their front railings? We have a 29' Monterey if it matters.

I found this online:

https://www.amazon.com/Magma-Products-R ... boat+mount

seems pretty pricey for rolled pieces of metal covered in foam with mounting brackets. Has anyone rigged up something similar or know of different options?

Post Kohler Generator

I'm new to this forum so I'm not show if this is the correct place for this. I have a 1986 Carver 3207 and was wondering if anyone knew where to get an owners manual for this generator. It is the original generator. Thank you for the help.

Post Refrigerator replacement

We have not been able to find anyone to fix our refrigerator and Marvel has said they have been discontinued. Has anyone found a replacement for the this refrigerator? It is a stacked freezer/refrigerator unit, and the freezer runs great! This is in our 2001 - 506 aft cabin.

Aquayacht Harbor's tech worked on it and refilled with whatever type freon they use now, which lasted a few days, and he could not find the leak. I understand that if there is any moisture introduced it can destroy the heat e ...
