Post happy to join

I am a part time Sarasota FL resident (land based) and looking to purchase a Carver 506 or 46 to replace the house in summer 2017. Doing a lot a research now to prepare for boating/seasonal live aboard and familiarity with Sarasota waterways. Looking forward to summer 2017! best Brian

Post Winter Battery Storage

I am looking for some feedback on where everyone stands on winter battery storage. I have had differing opinions on this from my marina mates. So, for all those who live in the colder regions of the continent, do you remove your batteries in the winter or just disconnect them and leave them on board?

Thanks in advance
Fraser

Favorable cruising speed with 7.4 MPI Merc's.

Post Taking Her Out For The First Time

Tomorrow I will be taking my new to me 1981 Carver 3007 Aft Cabin out for the first time. It will be our first trip together. Heading to a rendezvous with some of my fellow boat club members. We will be anchoring out at a local anchorage area on the Detroit River just before the river enters Lake Erie.

Hoping that the weather cooperates. There is a chance of thundershowers but we have weathered them before. This is a fairly well protected anchorage. Closed on the west, south and east but open to ...
