I have owned my 2005 530 for just over a year not and am very happy with the Yacht.
Getting close to where I want to be and hopefully I can get helpful information and also share with what I have done so far. I am located in Vancouver Canada.

I realize this is a crazy question to be asking, but it's really more about timing of a boat trip.



I just bought a 2006 46MY with the Volvo TAMD75P-EDC engines, but I don't have it in my possession just yet. I've owned Carvers for 8 years now. I just traded my 2001 356 for a 2006 46 MY. I can't tell you how much I loved the 356, but with 8 and 10 year old kiddos (with their cousins and friends often joining us), it was time to move to a 3 stateroom boat. That, and we were wanting diesels and a walk around bed in the master stateroom.

Anyway, I don't know why it took so long for me to join this forum, but I'm here now.

I just purchased a new to me boat a Carver 3007 Aft Cabin.. The marine radio onboard does not seem to be working so I plan to get a new radio. I want to get one of the newer radios with the DSC function, I believe its called so I need to apply for an MMSI number. I understand you can get one through the Boat US website. I went to the site and one of the questions asked is do you plan to boat outside the U.S. I answered yes as I am in Michigan and will go to Canada a lot. The Boat US site says:

I've isolated a problem with my Genny to a plugged or partially plugged fuel tank vent (runs fine when the filler cap is off - struggles and stalls when it is in place.

Any suggestions on how to clean out the vent line? A friend suggested using a Shop-Vac attached to the fitting on the hull. Uh... I think no.

Disconnect at the tank and BLOW?

Does anyone know how to remove the TV in the aft stateroom of a 2007 46MY. The top of the TV seems to be free but the bottom seems to be on some sort of bracket that I cannot seem to access. It looks like there are two 1/2" nuts that might be connecting the TV to the bracket but I can't get a socket on them. Any help would be appreciated

I would like to know the maximum real speed in kn or mph reached by this boat in various engines...my with 4.3 volvo dp arrival in 28/29 kn. I would like to know how much is 5.0 or 5.7 on the basis of 95 kg more weight.

I replaced my fresh water pump due to age, noise and slight leakage around the pump diaphragm, with the new replacement recommended. Now the water pressure pulsates/cycles when I turn it on!
Filter is clean, water tank is full, pulsates at all outlets.
Any ideas?
