Post Driving instruction please

Good Morning All, Ok, it is not as bad as it sounds. I have never used a twin engine before, but understand the concept from my skid loader and zero turn lawn mower. I am driving relatively well but seem to have a problem in one of the easiest areas. I have the boat backed in and the dock is on the port side. When I leave, I seem to have a problem not rubbing the boat on the dock. At good suggestions?

Post Thru-hull plugs that are in the drain gutters

Good Morning All, I have 4 thru-hull drains that sit in gutters where the water from the cock put is routed. It does not feel like the type that have threads and a nut, but some sort of push in. The are ~3/4" in diameter. And ideas where to buy something like this? All 4 are brittle and falling apart.

Post New GPS/chartplotter install

We have a 1987 3207 and I want to put a Humminbird 1158 up on the flybridge. I don't really want to mount the transducer on the transom and was thinking of using one the two locations mid-ships that there are old thru hull transducers mounted now. Has anyone else done something like this? Humminbird makes an angled thru hull transducer. Would this work better? Is the post next to the helm station the chase for getting wiring, etc up to the bridge? Thanks.

Post Thrilled to be new members

My husband Michael and I purchased our 1982 Carver 3007 aft cabin last November. We have noodled around our area (Vancouver, Canada) a bit over the winter. We are planning a short trip along the Sunshine Coast later this week. Our boat is equipped with an International Harvester Diesel 9.0l engine - having searched online, it does not appear that there were many built with these. Does anyone else out there have one? We are looking forward to being a part of this forum. Cheers, Eileen

Post Transducer location

Hey all, So Carver made a special box in the hull for a transducer installation. I pulled out the old one and found that it is dead in the middle of the 'V' bottom. There is no really good way to expoxy my transducer to it. They had a through hull transducer hanging from the top of the box and surrounded in antifreeze. Do you think if I hang the transducer that is really meant for the transom mount that it will work? Has anybody used this box for a transducer before?

Post WIFI at the marina

Has anybody else had any problems with wifi at their home ports? I a, having inconsistent issues. It seems if I go on the pier to the front of the boat, it comes in fine. If I go to the pier on the back of the boat, hardly connects. I am within 100' of the repeater they put up. It almost seems as if the boats themselves are causing interference. It seems like I connect well and the bars seem full but the speeds are horrible. Got me? Us anybody tried a wifi extender?

Post Fly bridge Removal?

I am considering buying a 1981 Carver 3007 aft cabin and having it shipped from MI to FL. Conflicting reports about whether to remove the bridge or just props and windshield. Can anyone weigh in on this one? The boat is a great price and I hate to give it up- but the bridge removal worries me. Thanks!
