Garmin VHF radio issues

Post by Makin' Waves »

OK Here is a good one. My Garmin radios (I have 2) are both experiencing an issue where I can transmit, but cannot hear the recieve portion unless the squelch is all the way off. As you can imagine this is annoying as can be and a bit of a safety issue. Folks say they can hear me loud and clear. I have swapped antennas, so it is not that. Any Ideas?

It could be a grounding situation (antenna) or your antenna isn't matched to your VHFs properly. It is weird that both radios are affected.
