I've got a 1982 model 3607...My hoses and tanks have always check as "fine" by the wet rag and sniff test, but my bilge in the vicinity of the aft head would always get a strong odor by the end of a long weekend, etc. when in use. Turns out, the discharge hose that drops into the floor behind the toilet sitting on that tiny little perch of a shelf had a barb fitting on it just below the floor but before visible from the shower sump. That barb had a real slow leak in it that was constantly dripping every time the toilet got flushed and the line between there and the holding tank inlet had a slight "uphill", so there was always some pressure on it while the hose was full. Fixed the line connections and that fixed the problem! (Plus a good bilge wash....LOTS of bilge wash!). :banghead:
