Hello everyone, just made it to Mobile AL this week in my Carver from Chattanooga TN. Great trip!
Looking for info on a relay to use (in front / Galley bilge) to close / open the 120V 10Amp circuit that feeds my AC water cooling pump. A 12V powered relay, allowing a 120 V 10-amp circuit to be started and stopped by the relay.
Why am I doing this?
1) I leave my AC on in the boat - It is Hot down here.
2) I am in brackish / salt water now so corrosion could create a leak in that system
3) My Victron Cerbo GX has a relay switch that can throw on alarm open/close.
4) I also monitor for high water in the bilge that alarms
The thought is if the high water alarm goes into alarm mode, The Cerbo deenergizes the N/O relay thus disconnecting the AC 120V power to the AC pump. If the pump is filling the boat, this will stop that from continually filling the boat with water. If it is leaking in the boat. Both AC's will go off but, at least the water will not continually fill the boat.
Side note: many of my videos from the trip are up on YouTube

I would do this as follows. Your A/C pump runs off of 125vac. Where convenient cut your 125v feed to your pump and insert a contactor in a box like this.

Connect your 12vdc from the Cerbo signal to the coil of the contacter which will de-energize the coil when high water (or what ever signal you choose) is detected, disconnecting the 125v voltage running the pump.
Use a small din rail box like this.

Sorry for the delayed response. Apparently, the site no longer lets me know when someone responds. I will look at my settings tonight. Follow up, here is what I ended up buying after talking to my local Grainger people. https://www.grainger.com/product/2ERZ5? ... em-LC_Test
Once I install it, I will make a video for my YouTube Channel.
