Tom do u have a reference for the dimmer switch? The one I use now is a towel! LOL

If you still have of those now rare radio shacks around, they used to have them for about $10.

Just did a bing search 12 volt dimmer, lots of choices.

Mike, maybe look for one of those small round knob dimmers like for car dash lights.
