Solar and battery condition

Postby tonyiiiafl » April 17th, 2022, 5:46 pm

Ready to launch when they say it is my time. HOWEVER, I hooked up the batteries today. They were reading 12.7 volts and at 75%. Turned on the solar and in 2 hours the batteries were bouncing at 88%. That is what will ensure that the genset will not run as much this year.

On another note, when I was hooking up the batteries, I checked the house batteries, 2 6V GC Trojan batteries, 5 years old, strong as new. When I took the caps off, the water was just at the level of the plates. I knew they were full end of season. Never had this happen before.
