Fireboy xintex fume detector

Post by camsaure@aol.com »

I thought I might share this, I hope it is not inappropriate. My fume detector is old and you can no longer buy sensors for it. They recommend replacement every few years. A few days ago I was doing some engine maintenance and sitting on a bulkhead right by the sensor. My Wife had fed me some spicy beans for dinner. And I.... well anyway the bilge fans came on. Took me a couple seconds to realize what happened, but I guess the old fume sensor still worked. :-D Cam
