Led lights & new covers for outside deck and stairs lighting

Postby frenchy123 » April 4th, 2018, 6:18 pm

Looking to replace my old lights with new LED lights. The Led lights I bought are too long and do not fit under the old covers. Does anyone have any ideas on getting some new covers and LED lights? I have a 2000 Carver Mariner. I replaced all of the lights in the cabin and that worked out well. Now looking to replace lights on the outside. The old covers are very faded....they have an oval shape to them.
Thanks,
Tom

Frenchy; If you know the brand of light that is OEM, google it and you may be able to find an LED model of the same style. Caution, even thought they are the same model, you may have to do some modification to make the new one fit. Had that happen replacing all the nav and bridge lights. The manufacture couldn't put the wires or mounting hole in the exact same place as the OEM light!

Not sure what style you have but my previous boats and this Carver have all had these. https://www.etrailer.com/comparison.asp ... 2=2407764B They work very well although changing the bulb to LED makes them even better.

I tried a bunch of different bulbs and finally found 1 I liked meaning they simulated halogen lighting quite well. Many times they are too white or too blue or even have a green tint to them. These are the ones I ended up using. https://www.ebay.com/itm/10pcs-Canbus-T ... 1G&vxp=mtr
