Kohler diesel generator shuts down with fault code RF. I replaced primary and secondary fuel filters guessing RF stands for replace filter? That has not solved the problem. I cant find RF code and what is means-

Have you checked for water flow for cooling?

Post the model and look again at the display. Are you sure it isn't a UF code?

I agree check the water flow first....if flow is restricted check your strainers, impeller and possible even your intake hose from the scupper. I pulled an entire salad out of my intake hose a couple weeks ago....

Thank you for the responses. After further investigation and confirming the fireboy system was not causing the issue, the main circuit board in the generator was faulty. I was informed that you can get erroneous codes when circuit board is failing.
