Relay switch

Sometimes our engine won't turn over - no power getting to the starter. I think we've determined it's a faulty relay. I'm looking for a replacement, but getting the exact part number is impossible. How important is getting that number bang on, and what do the numbers mean? Pic attached.

The "332014 150" would be the BOSCH part number. It's a 12V relay capable of 30 Amps.
You can probably use a bunch of similar relays in it's place, if you can't find an exact replacement. There are more numbers on the side that show the contacts, but I can't read them from that pic. The big difference in a replacement might mean the mounting method. Looks like the mounting tab is broken off yours.

Also check the key switch itself, they can fail.

Those are common relays but you'll need to check if it's a 4 or 5 pin and make sure you get a 30 amp one. Post the engine serial number

The numbers on the side are just a schematic I believe. (pic attached)

Good thought, but that was replaced last year. Although I am going to get another as a backup and to eliminate that possibility if it's not the relay.

Have you checked power to the relay when it fails ?

No I haven't. I will next time it fails though. Thank you!
