Re: New Nav Package
WOW!!!! I like it. Great job!
That system requires you to come up to Door County for a couple of weeks this summer. Bring tools. I have a thing or 6 to do on CBTL.

Re: New Nav Package
Bud...Raymarine. Cooler, we have a res at Sister Bay from June 29th through July 26 hope to see you there. We might leave a little early to loop up the peninsula then back to Racine in no great hurry. I always carry way too much in the way of tools. Always happy to help drink beer and fix stuff. As my wife says “men must have purpose”.
Thank you for the help!

Re: New Nav Package
Alright, alright, alright. Smart choice of dates. The fickle weather is finally starting to stabilize, and the bay flies are done. Hopefully you can plan a day cruise to Menominee, during that stay. Gas is always priced well below DC rates, so plan accordingly. Are you familiar with the bay in that area? There are a couple of rocky areas you want to be aware of. You're going to be about 3 miles away from a great anchorage in Penninsula Park, at Nicolet Bay/Horseshoe Island. I hang out at Fish Creek a lot during that time. On your way up, are you going to cut through Sturgeon Bay canal, or go north to Death's Door and down? Lookin' forward to meeting you guys!

Now, that looks really nice and I like your choice of instrumentation. Going to have a look at what you have installed. Thank you for sharing this information.

Re: New Nav Package
FYI; Raymarine/Flir is going through a shuffle in their mindset. They've revealed some new product and concepts that no others currently have. Pretty impressed with some of the stuff actually. Some of it is born out of their increased relationship with the Coast Guard and law enforcement. Their requirements, wants, and needs will/are trickling down to the consumer level which I think is great. Watch out for some good stuff.

Re: New Nav Package
Raymarine has used their proprietary NMEA 2000 cabling and connectors from the beginning but according to Raymarine, they'll be foregoing that for industry standard generic ones for ease of systems compatibility.

Re: New Nav Package
Pepmyster, I’ll ask Skipper Bud’s they ordered it. Not sure if you can tell by the photo but it has a Kevlar look to it. I was going to use Starboard but Bud’s directed me to a website for a greater choice. One of the choices was a white or off-white version of the one that I have. When I held the sample to the dash it looked like I was trying to hard to match colors. Skipper Bud’s has used the one that I chose on other boats and said it looks fantastic. I like the looks but it just doesn’t look right next to the engine instruments panels. I think I will replace the other panels to match. Not a big deal just extra work. But then again it gives me another excuse to spend more time on the boat. Thank you all for all of the kudos it has been a fun match it.
Thank you for the help!

Re: New Nav Package
It certainly upgrades the look of the console area, very nice overall, much better choice than starboard...... you may just be able to remove the others and have copies made or,( wait for it ) more Mfd's for all those gages .......
..... its easy spending other peoples money..
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.
