3607 height

Postby LakeTemisk » February 14th, 2025, 10:16 pm

I am in the process of purchasing a 1987 Carver 3607 aft cabin model. The boat will need to be moved about 400 kms. At the moment, I am trying to find the overall height of this model and not having any luck. It is not possible to do the measuring myself because I live far away. Also, since it is winter, the boat is buried under snow. I am looking for the measurements from the top of the helm on the fly bridge to the bottom keel. If someone would have any information to share, please reach out.

Thanks

Welcome aboard!
I can't help you with the height, but does the boat have a radar arch? Hardtop? Radar and other things on top?
If you are considering moving by trailer, they were delivered by the factory with the flybridge removed. Down to the roof of the cabin. Items from the bridge were stored inside the boat and on the foredeck.
Probably cheaper to move the boat via water if possible.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum......again no help with the measurements but.....boat transporters may have some data on heights if they have moved a year and model like yours. There will be things to remove.

To add make sure that at your destination there will be some way of getting it off the trailer if they don't deliver to the water or block it. My assumption is you are going to lake Temiskaming somewhere, make sure the destination can handle your boat for storage etc down the road. Good luck with your move. that is a nice area.
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.....

There are a few members on here who have moved their 3607's and might be able to weigh in.

I did not move mine via road, but can tell you the air draft is about 14' (with no radar arch or hardtop) and the water draft is 38". Remove the props and the rudders and the water draft probably drops to 26".

As noted earlier, when these move via roadways the bridge is removed from the cabin top. This involves the bridge surround, the helm and the bridge seating (three separate structures) and the helm seat. There are multi-pin connectors to disconnect most of the electrical wiring under the helm, but anything added or modified after it left the plant would likely need to be cut and spliced. The controls for throttle, transmission and steerage can be left connected but will need to be unbolted from the helm structure.
