I like the Davits. I think I could make them, not quite as good as yours but at least functional. I would really like to see pics of them on your boat. Did you have to use the side jack stands at all?

This is really a testing year for me. We will have to decide at the end of the year whether we want to keep our Carver or sell it. It will be based on how much we use it verses the cost. We all know the marina slip has a general cost of almost $2000, so we are stuck with that. The winter storage, shrink wrap and winterizing cost another $2000.

If I can shrink the winter cost, maybe our use justification might not need to be so high. If we stored the boat at my house, and I winterized it, it might only cost $600 for transportation.

Nice job on the davits! What did you make them from? I have a 3807 and would like to make a set myself. How did you make the brackets? Any more advice/info would be much appreciated. Thanks, Gary
