My sympathy for the water in the fuel tank. Some days are not made for doing work. For what it is worth, this will probably be the last time you do this. I would love to be helpful but I have no ideas. Sorry.

On a similar topic, I have just changed the fuel filters on my diesel powered Carver (Crusader Marine Diesel International), and while the port side went well, the priming on the starboard side does not seem to work. I am suspecting the pump as I cannot think of anything else. I wonder if anyone has any ideas. I sure would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,
Charles
