Glad to have found a forum dedicated to Carver owners! We have a 1982 Carver 3607 that we purchased 2.5 years ago while living in Texas. The vessel was slipped at Flowing Wells Marina on Lake Texoma and has since moved with us to Perdido Key, FL (near Pensacola).

The boat is mostly used for day cruises with a few overnight trips for special events, mostly Mardi Gras to date.

Current projects that I'm working on:
New refrigerator - the original Norcold unit burned the compressor and has been removed.
Researching fresh water flushing system for the raw water cooled Crusaders, more of an issue now that she's in salt water. So far I've found the "Superflush" system or the Groco fresh water flush adapter.
Upgrading battery charger from the original Pro-mariner ferroresonant charger to a new Pro-mariner ProNauticP style.

The very few items that I've upgraded since purchasing:

Converted distributors from points to electronic - major improvement!
Converted Onan generator spark plugs and cables to the RV version.
Changed most of the interior lighting to LED.
Upgraded stereo, added an amplifier and installed exterior speakers.
Upgraded marine VHF and hailer.

Previous owner upgraded the interior styling from the original 1980's color pattern.

Otherwise most items appear to be original and still functional. Looking forward to seeing what others have done with their boats. The best time of the year for boating is just getting started down here.

Jeff, we also have a sort of recently purchased 3607 that is located in Gulf Shores. We are neighbors. Would be very interested in what you decide on the Superflush system.
