Hello! I am not an owner yet - but looking to be soon!
I have a deal pending on a 1990 380 Santego. I need to get Transport costs from sellers Lake to my Lake - about 1 hr travel time apart.
What has to come off the boat in order to transport besides cushions etc. ? This boat is the Single state room, and has the Radar Arch, I know that must come down. Does the Helm Station need removed? The owner is telling me when the boat was delivered to is lake, the Arch was down and Windscreen off the helm only - and that's it. But I'm getting conflicting stories from others that say the Helm must be removed. Has anyone had an experience transporting a used Santego 380?

Welcome Aboard CaptJackM. You say it’s a 1990 Santego 380. I hate to tell you this but can’t be. If it’s a 1990 it’s either a 3467 (38’ long) or a 3867 (45’ long). In 1991 the 3467 was rebadged the 638 and the 3867 the 640. After 92 3867/640 disappeared. In 1993 the former 638/3467 was rebadged 380.
I mention this because the beam and air draft are different between the too. I have seen some 3467’s advertised as a 380, but I’ve also seen the larger 3867 advertised as a 380. It’s easy to tell the difference. The 3867 has Both a port and a starboard ladder to the fly bridge, while the other models only have a ladder on the port side.

Thanks Ron
It is definitely a 38 ft., only one ladder port side to Bridge - so I suppose officially a 3467. I have some old product lit. the Seller gave me lists as 380, lists LOA with with Platform and Pulpit at 41'10".
Need to transport it and just cant tell what needs to come down. Some say just Arch & Windscreen over helm station, others say helm station needs taken down in addition.

CaptJackM, here a link to the spec sheet for the 1990 3467.
https://carveryachts.blob.core.windows. ... ego_90.pdf Shows your bridge clearance at 13’2” without the radar arch. Provide this to your shipper. You might just be able to remove the arch and helm windscreen and get by with overhight permits. You will be over the 13’6” legal height Limit but with permits you can go higher As long as you can get under bridges and utility wires.

Thanks Ron - The Seller is telling me that is exactly how the boat was transported to his Lake - Arch Down, Helm Windscreen off.
