PV has SSM drives with surface props.
Three blades - provides a higher top end speed since only about two blades are creating drag.
Four blades would get me a better holeshot but I'd lose 4-5mph on the top end because of the extra drag of almost 3 blades in the water all the time.

Ya the fun was good while it lasted. The last time I worked on it was two years ago, then the boat ended up being sold to a guy south of the boarder soon after. Haven't seen another one in the area since. :-(

Some of the bigger 100mph+ boats up our way run the Aronson drives. Those blades are razor sharp.
