2003 Carver 444 CMY - Fwd Auto Bilge Circuit Breaker

Postby Reel Slow » August 2nd, 2016, 11:57 am

Good afternoon! Ok..... in the aft S/R, there is the Safety Breaker Panel that houses the Auto Bilge Pump breakers. The Fwd Auto Bilge Pump breaker is missing. There are 2 wires tucked into the red terminal protector that goes to this breaker. The replacement breaker has a screw at the top and at the bottom of the back side of the breaker. Do both wires go to the top screw on the breaker and the other screw attaches the breaker to what seems to be a bus bar? The two wires are: 1 for auto and the other for Helm bilge on? Not seeing how the breaker attaches to the bus bar, assuming that it is a bus bar and not just a support. Maybe one wire goes to each screw and the bar is just a support?

I'm away from the boat and am trying to figure this our from afar so I'll be ready when I get back - I didn't have time to use a tester on the wires. There certainly isn't a lot of extra wire slack to pull the panel out....Help please?

I believe your assumption is right, however I would pull the aft bilge breaker to be sure. Mike
