I was looking at the webcam at my marina this morning. Ice is gone, yippee! Bay looks like 90% of the ice is gone. I also noticed there is a truck with a sailboat behind it in the launch prep area. Looks like he is launching today. Warm this weekend but next week, 26th thru 29th looks like highs in the mid forties. Still too chilly for me. Marina does not turn power/water on till May 12 at the earliest, so I am waiting. Good to see progress. Cooler is 80% buffed and waxed, will finish today. The bottom paint touch-up and arrange for transport. Should be in the water by May 10. So, just 19 days to go! Gin and Key Lime water is on board, along with my new happy hour sign. That is an artist rendition on wood of a parrot squawking, "screw the crackers, Polly wants a cocktail". 8-) er

Home from the lake. Went up to install the replacement porthole & put up the bimini. Wont get there next weekend - 40th anniversary. Decided that we do want to clean the hull so that will be done on the long weekend with launch the following weekend. Attached is a photo from the boat this morning. They are predicting that the ice should be out by the 18th. The only really open water is around some of the docks.
