With out pics, hard to say.
But guessing....sounds like packing maybe leaking?
If packing, 2 to 4 drips per minute is what it should be.
As for the fins, need pics and should be fixed regardless...

Welcome to the forum....Wow another Canuck.... Im guessing boat was out on blocks, judging by Toronto.......07 should be dripless seals so maybe some ( hopefully) rv anti sneaking out...ask about it ....as for the other, pic would help some to comment on........ :beergood:

Saw some pics in a different forum... dripping is underneath the boat and discoloring the bottom paint near the shaft logs.

I think it's probably propylene glycol. When the engines were winterized some of that got injected into the (dripless) shaft seals. That would not be something to worry about.

I agree with the above. It's either just the antifreeze still in the shaft log lines or there's a foot of water in the bilge leaking out through the log! The fact that it's leaking in subzero temps points to winterizing antifreeze.

The intake should be replaced. If the fins are missing, it's not doing what it's supposed to do which is to keep large debris from being sucked through the intake. If they are not missing but bent instead, they have been weekended and there's no telling when they may brake off and get sucked up. If you have strainers, they will catch broken pieces but you won't know when it happens, and when it does, you run the risk of getting the large debris the fins were meant to stop. Collect enough of that in your strainer and eventually you'll have a restriction. For those that don't have strainers, the broken pieces will end up destroying your raw water pump.

I have to agree it's antifreeze dripping from the dripless shaft seals. That's good, it proves they're not clogged and the engines were winterized. As the boat gets more use the port on the exhaust/cooling passage that feeds the seals may get clogged with rust and debris. I find it useful to pull the hose off and probe the port to clear any debris out once in awhile.

If its antifreeze dripping from the logs should it have been done dripping a couple months ago?

As it freezes it crystallizes and turns to slush so it won't be as runny. As it warms up, it'll turn back to liquid and with warmer temps it'll expand a bit.

Yes, so this is exhaust, not intake. Those are designed to deflect water from forcing it's way into the exhaust outlet while underway. Did they put the slings in the wrong place when they lifted her out of the water?

That's my guess too Viper, marina should pay to replace those. How else would they have gotten busted like that and not damage a prop or 2? Mike
