Converting 1997 Carver 406 Dinette into bed

Postby ndunlop33 » May 3rd, 2017, 7:21 am

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows how to convert the dinette into a bed properly. I can drop the table down but I can't seem to figure out how to configure the cushions correctly. I think I'm setting them up wrong as they don't seem to fit tightly and keep sliding apart so this leads me to believe I'm missing something. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!

Snaps, straps, velcro. The originals often came with snaps, straps, or sometimes zippers to link them together. When subsequent owners replaced the cushions, they often leave these out because they think they will not be using the dinette as a bunk. So you may need to add some connection or securing method.

There are two cushions that fit in the shape of the table. One is a rectangle and one is a rectangle with the corner cut off to match the angle of the table.
