Shipping a boat

As some may know, our boat was sunk at the hands of an
incompetent
mechanic in June.
Since then, I've been hangin out on the forum...lurking
After the stinging had subsided, I started researching other types of Carvers and it seems were back at the Mariner 350.
Problem is there are not many here in the northwest.
I was thinking about shipping one across the US and wanted to ask if any of you have done that and do you have any wisdom to part with in regards?

Hello SJD. Sorry about the sinking - I also had that happen, at the hands of a go fast boater that had no clue about navigation rules. Not fun. Anyway, if my memory is correct, there is a boater named Huckleberry that had a vessel shipped from Tennessee to Arizona. Sounds like he experienced some frustration, so he may be a valuable resource. Access the Members tab above and find his profile. He joined the group on 9-23-17. His profile has a link to send an email also.

Moved my Riviera from Lake Michigan to Kent Island Md, then to Ventura CA, then back to Lake Michigan.
Make sure the hauler is completely insured and search the web for reviews. Be there when they load it and unload it.
Fortunately, none of the moves presented any issues at all.

There is a mover here in Cayuga, NY that I know. Google Lockview Marina & Boat Transport, in Cayuga, NY. give them a call and Allison can walk you thru the move.

I've had boats shipped, both trailerable boats via uShip and our 44' cruiser via yacht transport. I think the issue you might run up against is shipping cost vs boat value...Mariner 350's are usually in the $60K - $80K range I believe? Shipping from several states away could easily hit 20% - 30% of the boat's value.
