QL Thruster Remote Control

My new-to-me Carver 560 came with a thruster remote that does not work. Any ideas on how I can get it operational?

I'm assuming a hand held remote, so here goes. First, check the batteries (or replace with units you know are good). If still not working, there is an issue with the transmitter or receiving unit. I have not dealt with the handheld remote for thrusters, but those two things are the only ones I can think of that may be wrong

Batteries, and check the reciever side for power as well.
The manufacturer probably has a website with contact info, and maybe even a troubleshooting guide.

When mine doesn't work, it's usually a disconnected wire at the receiver
