Source of the post ...another had one of those houseboats with the fibreglass hulls, can' remember the name.....

There are a lot of brands out there but Holiday Mansion, Blue Water, and Gibson are pretty popular up here.

Thanks for the memory jog....it was Holiday Mansion I was trying to think of, quite a while back though......

Well that is interesting.....340 views and only one saying their boat stay at the dock and is primarily a cottage/vacation spot....

Sorry, we've put right at 8000 miles on ours in the last two years so I can't help much.

I totally understand this whole story. For 12 years I left the marine every sunny weekend. We had many overnight raft ups, overnight stays at marinas in Long Beach Island and occasional overnight stays at AC.
Once I bought a slip in Beach Haven and traded in my 34 Lurhs for 396 Carver and the boat just sits in the slip. Just a 10 minute walk to the ocean beach and multiple restaurants a short walk away. We still go for rides with friends that have more convenient smaller boats. People laugh and call it a floating condo but its fine with me.
