Would anyone have fuel consumption specs for a 4207? i.e. mpg at different rpm's and speeds?

Thanks in advance, I've searched everywhere with little luck, so I thought I would ask!

Thank you!

I don't remember what our 4207 burned, but let me tell you that you should buy a trim tab indicator and a very good fuel flow meter. You'd be surprised how a couple degrees of tab and sight changes in throttle can increase your fuel efficiency..
I was very surprised.

Very accurate. Your MPG will depend on your speed for given RPM. I'm guessing that your 4207 has quadrajets. You can tune a quadrajet to get better GPH than an MPI motor. But You wont have the advantage of knock sensors.

Just to clarify, you wont get miles to gallon with gas engines in that boat. Its gallons to the mile :-D

Or as I get on my 81 3007 an average of .86 miles per gallon.

I used to have a 3807 with Merc 454's. What a gas hog. I can't imagine a 4207 with gas engines.
At plane, we got less than 1/2 mpg. That's why we almost always ran at hull speed, about 7.5 knots. At that speed, we got about a mile per gallon. Big difference. Unless you want a permanent spot at the fuel dock, run hull speed. Your wallet will thank you.

Yep, that's a lot of boat for 7.4's. They will push it ok, but don't be in a hurry.

Thanks for all the input, cruising at hull speed sounds like the way to go, and only open it up when the beer cooler runs empty lol.

Just trying to get a rough idea, and I think I got it!!
I appreciate all the input!

Hi, I have an 88 , 3607. I haven't bought these yet, but there on my list to perchase soon. I had fuel flow meters on my last boat ( Carver 2897) and loved them.
Saved me a lot of fuel!
These are even better with the app supplied.

And , no, I'm not affiliated with interactio in any way.
Just did my research, and want them on my boat soon!
