Mantus M2
Two questions:
1) He recommends the 65lbs since I will be anchoring over night at times. I get the concept of "you can never have too big of an anchor" but the other recommendations on other anchor sites say 45 to 50lbs is more than enough for the 450.
2) Anyone else have the Mantus M2 on there 450? Really don't want to buy it only to have to ship it back due to not fitting properly.
Thanks!

Re: Mantus M2
Never understood why they go by length for choosing anchor size. In general it gives you a good idea of what you need however this is very general. It also depends on where you will be boating. In your case the boat does weigh around 40,000 lbs which is quite heavy. I just replaced my anchor and went with a 46lb Ultra and my boat is half the weight of yours. A day anchor would suffice at 45lbs however overnighting you definitely want more. The 65lb recommendation does sound about right to me. If I was ocean going, I would have upped mine to at least 55lbs however in the protected water I travel in 45 was more than sufficient for me..
