Does anyone know if any of the 325 flybridge aft-cabins we're shaft driven and/or had twin screw diesel's? All I've found is the opposite, direct drive and gasoline engines. Thx!

Welcome to the forum.....Direct drive is an engine roughly midships with a trans and straight shaft to turn the props, terminology in ads can be confusing sometimes I find. All those models would be like that. I am sure some came with diesels but pretty rare up here I would think. Not sayin they don't exist, be a find though if well kept.

Aft cabin boats don't really have the room under the aft cabin for engines in the stern. Good luck on your search.

The PowerBoat Guidebook doesn't list any options for the 325/326, just the standard 300HP gas engines. I haven't see any listed as used with anything else either.

Direct drive to me implies no gear reduction. I don't think that was used on these boats either. As Bud says, I think these were all shaft-drive boats.

These boats probably could have benefited from a v-drive configuration, to minimize the shaft and prop angle, but as far as I know that wasn't used either.
