Dashboard Covers

Postby dave907 » May 14th, 2021, 9:33 pm

Hello all:

I just took posession of a new (to us) 2001 Carver 530 Pilothouse. Just finished up a passage bringing her across the state of Florida via the Okeechobee waterway from Ft. Myers to Cocoa Beach, Fl.

It was a good trip and I really liked the way the boat handled. However, the glare from both the upper and lower driving station on the windows/windshield is pretty bad if its sunny.

I was about to start ordering some black felt to create dull surface for the dashboard to remove this glare, but thought I might inquire on this forum to see if anyone has already figured this out and knows of a vendor that sells custom dash coverings for these boats?

Seems like a long shot, but I thought I'd take it.

Cheers, and thanks in advance for any tips.

Dave
