Does anyone know the difference between these two hydraulic steering pumps?

Not 100% sure, but I hink it is primarily the amount of fluid displaced. The 50 displaces 2.0 cubic inches, the 52 displaces 1.7 cubic inches. When my Hynautic blew it's seals, I replaced with a Seastar unit. Went to a 2 line system and eliminated the reservoir in the bowels of the engine room. I now monitor fluid level and fill at the helm. If you replace, the Seastar will have a compatible helm, but the location of bolts to install will be different. A template comes with the new helm. 8-) er
