Thanks Tom. I understand what your saying. From my vantage point while working on the rudders I had the same thought. This may be the most practical way. Unless I can hire waybomb's wife.

Maybe you have a mechanically inclined teen at your marina that would like to earn some $ ?

Did you ever find an "easy" way in? My A/C line out is leaking at the thru hull and I can't seem to find a way to access to replace or even diagnose why water is coming back down the hull wall on the inside. Any help would be appreciated. This is on 96 355 Aft. Thanks!

No, as of yet I haven't pursued the issue any further. I can suggest to crawl under the aft head sink and look to the aft and maybe you'll see some access. That's what I'm going to try at season end.

I am going out to look at again this weekend, hopefully I can find a way in without cutting. I'll let you know the results.

I realize this is a post to a rather old thread asking how to access the four thru-hulls located aft on starboard side of Carver 355. I discovered the aft bilge pump on the boat I have had been disconnected to use its drain to the thru-hull. Apparently the A/C fitting snapped at some point in the boat's past and flooded the bilge. It does appear the three bilge pumps did what they needed to do. I would like to restore operation of the aft bilge pump, but need access to the thru-hulls.

The last post in the thread was to explore access through the sink cabinet in the aft head - but that's where the thread ends! On the boat I have, the cabinet is sealed. It looks like the best access would be to remove the front of the nightstand or drawer guide if that is possible. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks
